Designed for transferring patients. It is manufactured with 1/4" ABS, resulting in superior rigidity over other conventional patient sliders, yet only adding fractional weight gain. This added rigidity allows immediate use of the Patient Transfer Board when obstructions (stirrups, mechanical interference, space limitations, etc.) do not permit the two vehicles close enough together for conventional boards. ABS also possesses good impact strength, abrasion and creep resistance. It is unaffected by contact with inorganic salts, alkalies, and many acids.
